SAMTIC (Soth African Music Technology, Innovation and Capacity-building) is an international Erasmus+ funded project that connects six higher education institutions from South Africa and Europe.
Our mission is to transform digital music education, advance research and innovation and foster vibrant cultural exchange between Africa and Europe and higher education institutions on the respective continents.
Through in-depth training, curriculum revision and renewal and shared creative projects, SAMTIC builds capacity in music technology, artificial intelligence and digital education equipping educators and students for the rapidly evolving global music industry.
SAMTIC envisions a new era of digitally empowered music education in South Africa and Europe. By integrating innovative technologies, modernised curriculum as well as international collaboration, we aim to assist and fully equip educators, students and institutions with the skills, tools and connections they need to thrive in the 21st century creative economy.
